Audeo Sphere Infinio is a receiver-in-canal device and our most-fit Phonak model. Rechargeable-only, about 16 hours per charge with streaming. Universal Bluetooth (iPhone and Android) for both streaming and hands-free calls. DEEPSONIC AI chip for noise suppression. Pairs with up to eight devices at once, so patients can flip between phone, laptop, tablet, and TV without unpairing.

What we like: for patients whose main frustration is restaurants, family dinners, or noisy workplaces, Audeo Sphere Infinio consistently outperforms competitors in blinded listening tests. What to know: the DEEPSONIC noise processing can make the world sound "cleaner" but also less natural. Some patients love this. Some do not. The 45-day trial is where you find out.

Phonak Naida (severe to profound, super-power BTE)

Phonak Naida is a super-power behind-the-ear device and one of the strongest hearing aids on the market. Our default recommendation for adults with severe to profound loss when a receiver-in-canal device does not have enough headroom. Available with rechargeable or disposable battery, custom earmolds standard. Naida supports the Roger remote-microphone system and pairs with Phonak's TV Connector and Partner Mic for streaming from external sources.

What we like: for adults on the edge of cochlear implant candidacy, Naida is often the last hearing aid we try before we discuss implant evaluation.

Phonak Sky (pediatric with Roger)

Phonak Sky is designed for children age 5 and up. It is the pediatric sibling of Audeo Sphere Infinio and shares the Bluetooth + Roger-compatible platform. Sky supports the Roger classroom microphone system, which places a wireless mic on a teacher or coach and streams their voice directly into the child's hearing aids. Roger has strong published outcomes for kids with hearing loss in mainstream classrooms. Sky is available with rechargeable or tamper-resistant disposable battery and comes with pediatric earmold options.

What we like: Roger + Sky is the standard-of-care for school-age children in Louisiana, and we coordinate directly with Individualized Education Programs and school audiologists when needed.

How a Phonak fit works at ACI

1. Full audiological workup. Air conduction, bone conduction, speech-in-noise, tympanometry, and if indicated, otoacoustic emissions. This tells us your loss shape and how much room there is for improvement with amplification.
2. Discussion and recommendation. We walk you through the top 2-3 brands that fit your audiogram, lifestyle, and budget. Phonak is often on that list, especially if you spend meaningful time in noisy environments or want strong hands-free calls. If a different brand fits better we say so.
3. Prescriptive fit with real-ear measurement. We do not just plug in the manufacturer's first-fit software. We use a probe microphone in your ear canal to measure the actual output at your eardrum and match it to a validated prescription (NAL-NL2 for adults, DSL for kids). Only about 30% of dispensers actually do this. Every ACI fit gets REM verification.
4. 45-day trial and follow-up fine-tuning. You wear the devices in your real life. We fine-tune based on what you notice. Included in the fee.

Phonak Audeo Sphere Infinio ranges from about $2,600 per pair (Essential tier) to $7,400 per pair (Premium tier) depending on technology level. Naida and Sky price similarly. All prices include real-ear measurement verification, follow-up fine-tuning through the trial period, and 3-year manufacturer warranty.
